About Us

Aims of our Society

The Society exists to promote an interest in and an understanding of science in all its disciplines.    Our lectures are invariably given by a speaker who is a leader in his or her field.     Topics range widely, drawn from all aspects of science and technology.    Members are encouraged to put forward suggestions as to the future programme.

Our lectures take place at Mycenae House, Blackheath on the third Friday of the month from October to May at 7.30 p.m. and during the summer we generally arrange at least one outing to a place of scientific or technological interest.

Our meetings are open to the public but should you wish to join the society, membership rates are £12 single, £18 joint at same address and £5 student.
